Systematic Theology

Objectives

  • To teach overall comprehension of systematic theology.
  • To understand how different doctrines are developed in Scripture.
  • To give students the ability to understand and teach theology.
  • To give students the tools necessary to fight heresy and identify misinterpretations of Scripture.

The Program

Systematic Theology is a three-year course with one week of resident work per year. In addition to the one-week modules, students complete various reading assignments and homework. During the program students will take the following classes:
  • Systematic Theology 1
  • Systematic Theology 2
  • Systematic Theology 3

The Faculty

Professor Phil Johnson is Executive Director of “Grace to You,” a Christian tape and radio ministry featuring the preaching of Dr. John MacArthur. Phil is also editor of most of MacArthur’s publications. Phil is an elder at Grace Community Church in Panorama City, CA. Phil graduated with a degree in theology from Moody Bible Institute and was an editor for Moody Press before moving to Southern California in 1983. He also serves as a board member for Aurora Ministries. Two of his books have been published in Italian. The one is on the major heresies in church history and the second one on the book of Jonah.
